Summer fashion is tricky because you’re dealing with a lot less fabric and a lot more focus on personal comfort. Obviously, no one likes wearing a lot of layers when it’s 90 degrees out, even if it is fabulous looking. The way I see it is that you don’t need to sacrifice looking classy and well put-together to stay cool.
Invest in thin fabrics. Just be weary of fabrics that are too thin to the point that they’re see-through. I love sheer tops but the point is not to layer.
Wedges are a spring and summer fashion staple. They’re comfortable to walk in all day and compliment casual outfits just as well as dressy ones.
For accessories, I like to keep it minimal.
Summer is a time to ditch the drama and flaunt the carefree attitude. Reflect that in your fashion choices!
Dressing femininely has become sort of a taboo lately. I’m not sure if it’s the assumed difficulty of creating the outfit or if it’s because most girls choose to be comfortable and casual. What strikes me is that being feminine doesn’t have to mean uncomfortable. Now, the definition of comfortable varies extraordinarily. I don’t particularly find heels comfortable, but what comforts me is that I look amazing in them. There’s an uplifting feeling when I wear soft shades of pink and choose delicate fabrics that drape off my body in flirtatious ways. Ruffles and lace are pleasing to the eye and are incredibly feminine.
Dressing this way is often considered “prim and proper,” or in other words, “pompous and pretentious.” Why? Hollywood perhaps. It’s a false label that’s killing the style. There’s nothing wrong with being a jeans and t-shirt type of girl. It’s an approachable and relatable type of style.
Throw away any apprehension regarding the stereotype of dressing in a ladylike fashion. Try that eyelet blouse you bought for Easter over some skinny jeans. Or how about a sexy ruffled mini skirt paired with a lightweight cardigan and flats or heels? (See above)
I know it’s tough to put away the Uggs and sweats, but try it!

I decided to browse through the collections of some of my favorite new designers today and I found this gorgeous dress! I’m usually a little black dress type of girl but there’s something really romantic about this soft shade of grey. I’m not sure if my eyes are tricking me, but it seems like it has a bit of champagne fused in with the color. Either way, I’m in love. The lace detailing on the back is seductive but not too revealing. A dress like this would be perfect for a wedding or dinner at a fancy restaurant.
If you want to wear something like this to a party or club, add a leather jacket and some fun gold bangles.

Want a more unique and flattering swim suit this summer? Don’t go for the predictable halter. Pick a bikini that has ruffles to create an illusion of more curves. A one-shoulder top adds more secure support and provides more lift than a string bikini. And if you’re still working on that tan, these colors will flatter even the palest skin tones.
This is the perfect suit if you’re looking for curves and cleavage!
For all of you out there that actually enjoy Single’s Awareness Day, here’s a little dress by Planet Blue that I think is perfectly suited for a romantic night out with the boyfriend.
Ashley Tisdale is modeling a lacy one-sleeve mini dress in a soft shade of fuschia. Lace is perfect for those who want to tease and show what’s in store for later. Nude heels are a perfect fit for a solid romantic color like this.
Create a smoky eye look, but avoid matte black shadow. Play around with different shades of pink, beige, and grey. Avoid matching your lip color with the dress. Instead, go for a nude lip (noticing a pattern yet?). To emphasize the flirt factor, layer on a lengthening mascara and keep fluttering those lashes!

Why so sad, Taylor? You look amazing! I really love her thick traditional scarf. The whole outfit screams “I’m trying to be a loner right now,” but her flirty skirt contrasts the dark ensemble nicely. I’m not a big fan of the shoes. I would replace them with either one of these:
Who says you have to bum it out when your traveling? The normal jeans and a white t-shirt concept is glammed up here with a cropped leather jacket.
I absolutely adore signature necklaces. If you have a special one that means a lot to you, wear it as much as you can! It’s actually a good way to make a connection with someone. Wouldn’t you be intrigued by a girl that wears a worn out guitar pick around her neck everyday?
Not to say variety in accessories is not encouraged.
And I love the color of this leather jacket. It gives the outfit a laid-back southern flare.
The main reason why I LOVE spring is because I can wear my cute winter outfits without covering them up with a coat. This particular outfit mixes in some winter pieces such as the black infinity scarf and black and white striped sweater. Find some cute above-the-knee boots to provide some warmth with this high-waisted full skirt. The outfit is pulled together with a thin light brown belt, black tights, and a leather book bag.
